Michael Maisano, a seasoned veteran himself, founded The Silent Survivors Project out of a deep-seated passion for helping those who have served. With a Doctorate in Psychology, Michael has devoted his career to understanding the complex psychological needs of veterans. His journey began after witnessing fellow service members struggle with mental health issues. 

Over time, this personal experience fueled his determination to create a safe space where veterans can seek support without fear of judgment. Michael has spearheaded numerous initiatives, partnering with entertainment professionals, educational institutions, and research bodies to foster a supportive environment. His dedication is underscored by accolades from various mental health organizations. Michael’s vision extends beyond mere acknowledgment of issues, aiming for a future where mental health is openly discussed, understood, and embraced. His leadership encourages a community of hope and resilience, transforming the perception of mental well-being within military circles. By sharing his own narrative, Michael extends a hand of empathy and understanding to veterans everywhere, ensuring they know they are not alone on their journey to healing.
